SR-71B Blackbird
Eerie and magnificent, the Lockheed SR-71B Blackbird is known unofficially as the “Lady in Black.”
Developed in the 1960s as a long-range reconnaissance aircraft, the SR-71B can fly more than three times the speed of sound at an altitude of 85,000 feet. The Air Zoo’s Blackbird is the only “B” model in existence – a trainer model with a second cockpit meant for a flight instructor.
