The Air Zoo works with Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Brownies to learn about aviation, space and science. We have a variety of special events and classes held throughout the year. The cost for each program is $12 per scout. One Troop Leader is free, and additional adults pay the group discount admission of $15.50.
Cub Scouts learn about aviation, space and science for a variety of achievement badges. Fun, hands-on interactive learning opportunities led by museum volunteers and aerospace professionals will bring to life such things as Bernoulli’s Principle and Pascal’s Law, and many more scientific wonders. Pre-registration is required.

Hundreds of Boy Scouts from all over the Midwest gather for this aviation-themed weekend. Activities include classes and workshops for merit badges, tours of the Air Zoo, rocketry programs, airplane rides and more.

2008’s Girl Scout Day will take place on November 15. This fun-filled day will help you achieve your Junior Aerospace Badge or Cadette/Senior Space Exploration Badge in one day!
Brownie Try-It workshops are held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Each workshop will have two Try-Its with a snack break in between (Snacks are provided by the Air Zoo).

Boy Scout Day is ideal for helping Scouts learn about aviation, space and science! Professionals from the aerospace world, such as pilots from the Michigan Air National Guard 110th Fighter Wing, join museum volunteers in creating a number of fun, interactive learning activities for the boys.
By the end of the day, the scouts will have completed all of the requirements for their Aviation Merit Badge. Counselors will be on hand to sign merit badge cards and pre-registration is required.

Outside food and beverage is not permitted in the Kitty Hawk Café seating area. For your convenience, the Air Zoo provides a seasonal outdoor picnic area. Outside food and beverage is also permitted in the Observation Lounge of the East Campus.
