The Air Zoo always needs volunteers! Some of the incentives for volunteering include:
The Air Zoo offers a variety of volunteer positions, most of which require no experience. The following is a brief description of the available positions and their requirements.
Aircraft Restoration and Maintenance Volunteer: Volunteers will ensure that museum aircraft remain in top condition for the public’s enjoyment.
Librarian: Volunteers will provide assistance for those doing research and maintain the general organization of the library.
Greeter: Volunteers will greet customers and give general information.
Docents: Volunteers in this area are the Museum’s teachers and tour guides. Volunteers will participate in and successfully complete the Docent Training course so that they are able to educate guests about the Museum’s collection of aircraft and artifacts.
Experience Assistant: Volunteers will assist the attractions staff with the smooth flow of guests around the museum experiences.
Information Desk Specialist: Volunteers will provide information regarding the Museum, area attractions, restaurants and hotels.
Security and Safety Volunteer: Volunteers will help protect the museum’s buildings and artifacts, staff, volunteers and the public in accordance with established safety and security policies and procedures.
